Help us Support Families suffering the Loss of a Child during this difficult transition time.
Paris Angel Foundation offers resources for families after the death of a child or pregnancy loss. We help families begin the healing process on a journey to recovery and a positive future. We provide education and emotional support for ongoing bereavement care. By partnering with other organizations, we dedicate time to providing families with additional resources to help them achieve their goals. With your generous donations, you can help us make our workshops and trainings regarding grief accessible to anyone. Some topics for our workshops include coping strategies and self-care techniques. By working directly with health care professionals and social services agencies we hope to give families the ongoing support they need.
Paris Angel Foundation is dedicated to serving the child loss community. The death of a child is one of the most painful events that any family can experience and is linked to complicated/traumatic grief reactions (Prigerson et al., 1999)
Funding received will provide these Grieving Families with Resources for Mental Health Services and Financial Assistance programs when available.
Nothing is more painful for parents than the dissolution of the attachment relationship with their child. This loss elicits severe anxiety and other negative emotions associated with loss (Bowlby, 1980). This is why it is so important for families to have access to professional mental health services as needed.
We do not exclude any family from assistance, no matter how their child died.
Parents might also experience guilt about having been unable to protect the child (Gilbert, 1997). This is another reason why our team is committed to building a strong network, to be able to console and guide families who may have a difficult time moving forward in a positive direction.
In addition to supporting grieving families, we also provide education to individuals who are trying to be a support system as well.
Our goal is to help any family that has lost a child within the United States and may need assistance. Our team values are to respect and support by expressing compassion to each individual’s needs whether that person is struggling mentally, financially, or both.
